For Our Next Meet the Expert profile, meet Amanda Placko.
Though she's a twin that shares her birthday with 4 of her sisters, she's absolutely one of a kind!

Job Title?
Finder of all things lost, at home. Oh, here at work? Client Relationship Manager

How long have you worked for RPS/24HourFlex?
Which time? I actually worked for this great company back in 2012.
Left and was lucky enough to get an opportunity to join the team again in May 2017.

What does a typical workday for you entail?
Client emails, client calls, projects, all while keeping the world around me sane.

In layman’s terms, explain your job duties.
I help employer’s administer their employee benefits as well as their COBRA services, while also trying to keep the world around them within compliance.

What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with/for.

You work remotely, so what’s your go-to productivity tip when you’re losing motivation?
Get up and walk away; take a break, look outside, play with the pup (she’s 3 and 55lbs, nothing puppy about her).

Before working at 24Hourflex, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I was a nanny for the summer, going into my junior year of high school. These people paid me to watch their son, Tyler. He was 2 and it was FUN!  I would be driven home by their limo driver.  I thought that was so cool!

What did you want to be as a child?
A teacher!   Then I did my student teaching and quickly realized I didn’t like germs or maybe it was kids; it could very well have been both.

Biggest pet peeve?
Liars. Ignorance. Discrimination.

What’s something -big or small- that you’re REALLY bad at?
Telling a lie.

What’s something-big or small- that you’re REALLY good at?
Being able to ‘feel’ when a situation I am in, or am around, has and/or is going badly. I guess that’s called your “gut instinct”.

Where are you from?
I was born in Illinois, grew up a little in England, then did some more growing up in Texas, then a little more growing up in Virginia, then did even more growing up in NJ.  I relocated for a few in Colorado, but eventually moved back to Jersey, Jersey is home!

Do you come from a large or small family? How many siblings?
Oh boy! There are 5 girls in my family!  My three older sisters, who are triplets, were born January 22, 1978.  Then my twin sister and I came along four years later, January 22, 1982.  My family is everything to me!

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?
Shopping, and I haven’t been able to do that since we’ve been on lockdown because of COVID-19. I also LOVE to redecorate!

Guilty pleasure?
Shopping! I’m not saying I don’t have a problem, but I feel it’s been rehabbed for the last three months,
so I should be oaky! Right!?

What’s your most used emoji?

What fictional character do you relate to the most?
Did I mention shoulder shrug is another top emoji! 🤷🏻‍♀️

 Top 3 favorite podcasts/books/movies/tv shows?
Oh man…I just started watching Yellowstone and LOVE it!
I love EVERYTHING Disney!  And all the Chicago’s; Med, Fire and PD.

Dog person or cat person?
Dog, but the kitties need loving too. This is a picture of Blu.

What are the values that drive you?
Honesty, Loyalty, and Dependability

Best piece of advice anyone ever gave you? Who was it from?
“Kill them with kindness!” My momma used to say this all the time! <3
“Kiss it up to God!” My soon-to-be-mother-in-law says this often.
Also, a very recent one,
“Worry is like a rocking chair; there’s a lot of motion but it won’t get you anywhere.” -Matt Poppe.
