Meet the Experts - Kelly Riether

Posted by Sierra Betterley on Feb 24, 2020 1:10:48 PM

In October, RPS Plan Administrators and our daughter company, 24HourFlex, launched a set of enhanced logos conveying strength, stability, and continuity of over thirty-one years of service. Along with our logo, we launched a matching tagline, “Experts Who Care,” which captures the quintessential essence of who we are as an organization.

As our organization grows and moves into 2020, we wanted to share more about the experts behind the service. Each month, we will post a Meet the Experts profile, highlighting one of our team members.

For our first RPS profile, meet Kelly Riether, our Implementation Manager.

How long have you worked for RPS/24HourFlex?

June 15, 2018

Before working at RPS/24Hourflex, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I worked as a Disaster Program Specialist for the American Red Cross in Birmingham, Alabama. This involved responding to disasters such as hurricane, tornadoes, and flooding. The number one response was providing assistance to survivors of house fires. This was a 24/7 round the clock response. I was privileged to work with dedicated volunteers who responded on behalf of the Red Cross day and night!

What does a typical work day for you entail?

The day begins with emails and checking status of all plans in Implementation. Once the day begins, it can go a variety of directions depending on the needs of the clients, the time of year and the support for internal projects. Below are some of the things I typically encounter in a day:

Receiving new plans from the sales team and beginning the implementation process.

Plans currently in Implementation could involve any or all of the following tasks on any one day:

  • Introduction to RPS
  • Record Keeper Installations
  • Plan Document management
  • Data Collection
  • Services specific to new clients
  • Current RPS clients Record Keeper Conversions – managing the process, including providing information and support for the process
  • Special Projects

The Implementation manager plays a critical role in establishing rapport with new clients so that they are confident their plan’s and client needs will be met and RPS will exceed their expectations in providing services as required. This response can include emails, phone calls or any variety of communications to provide support and direction.

My role allows me to support the Sales team and RPS analysts by creating a bridge from the new client status to active administration. I communicate internally and externally to provide information to the RPS team.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy working with new clients and introducing them to RPS and the world of retirement planning. I also enjoy being a part of a team and trying to make RPS the best it can be.
